Jada Pinkett Smith addressed rumors about the state of her marriage to Will Smith in the July issue of Redbook.

Jada had been married to Will since 1997 and the two have two children: Willow, 12 and Jaden, 14. Will also has a 20-year-old son, Trey, from his previous marriage to Sheree Zampino. Jada denied any turmoil in her 15 year union to Will, which has been plagued by rumors of an open marriage and divorce. However, she did offer a reason as to why she could possibly leave the After Earth movie star.

Jada said she would only leave her husband if he did something to harm their children.

"What is the thing that Will could do to make me not love him? That would make me abandon him? I can't think of one. I'm sorry," she said. "Except if he did something bad to the kids - now we've got a problem."

Jada also explained that she had no desire to put her life on even more public display. She was not interested in being on any reality television shows, and the former A Different World star also resents being in the tabloids as much as she is.

"I have been affected by gossip and I know people who have been too. I've seen marriages destroyed by gossip. It is cruel," she said.

Jada appears on the magazine's July issue alone but shot an inside spread with her daughter and mother. She said trust is the key to any commitment. The HawthoRNe actress added that one's personal opinion is ultimately what mattered the most.

On the professional front, Jada shared her excitement about producing The Queen Latifah Show, which will premiere in the fall on CBS. She described it as a cross between The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

"To help execute this idea for such an amazing artist is really pleasing. I'm able to be creative on a whole different level," she said.
