While The Lonely Island is getting ready to release its third studio album The Wack Album on Tuesday, the group is trying to go on the road for the first time ever.

"We wanna tour, and we've been about to tour like five different times. But the wrangling of all three of our schedules has constantly screwed it up," Andy Samberg, one of the three group members, told StereoGum.com in an interview published on Thursday.

The band's first performance was scheduled for this summer in Chicago, according to the website. However, it was canceled. Group member Akiva Schaffer explained why.

"Also because we've never toured, it's not as simple as a regular band who has a show, where they can just choose one night and go, 'Yeah, we'll have another show,'" he said. "And we want it to be right."

The Lonely Island's previous comedic singles like I'm On A Boat featuring T-Pain has garnered over 75 million YouTube views and has gone platinum since its release in 2009. The group's sophomore album Turtleneck & Chain even managed to snag the No. 3 spot on Billboard's Top 200.

Now the groups third album is filled with superstar collaborations such as Pharrell Williams, Robyn, Adam Levine, Kendrick Lamar, Solange, Billie Joe Armstrong, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, T-Pain and rapper Too Short. Actors Hugh Jackman and Kristen Wiig are even featured on the song You've Got The Look.

"We were definitely excited about all of the guests, and not just in a way of 'We don't hurt anyone's feelings,'" Samberg said of all the album's collaborators. "With everyone we asked we were like, 'That would be awesome.'"

The group members also revealed which video may be their next to go viral.

"Yeah, we just shot a music video with her a few days ago," Jorma Taccone said of the song Go Kindergarten, which features Robyn. "There's a little dance rehearsal for the music video, but that was actually just the dance rehearsal."
