Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson Post-Split Update: 'Twilight' Actress Feels Part of Her Has Died Since Breakup, Sources Say
Kristen Stewart is suffering since her split with Robert Pattinson and feels like a part of her has died, Hollywood life reported Friday.
The site alleged that the 23-year-old actress has been withdrawn since her breakup with her Twilight co-star. The two dated for more than three years before their break up was announced in May.
"Kristen has been just laying low, hanging out with her closest friends and trying to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible," the source said.
The source added that Stewart felt that Pattinson was more than just a lover to her, but her best friend.
"She misses her best friend. It's like a part of her has died and she is still going through the grieving process," the source said.
At the time their split was announced in May, it was speculated that the two could reconcile. However, tensions had risen between the two actors. Pattinson was reportedly still upset over Stewart's fling with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders in the summer of 2012. Stewart issued a statement and apologized for the hurt she caused Pattison.
Stewart and Pattison reconciled that September but some in their inner circle claimed that their relationship was not like it was before. Sources close to Stewart said that she felt Pattison was treating her differently. He was no longer as doting as he previously had been.
"He's not as into it as he was before the cheating - not giving her special treatment like he used to. She feels unloved and that's why they fought. They're not split, but they're holding on by a string," a source said in May.
