August Alsina Reportedly Points Gun At Harassing Fans In Local Supermarket
Recording artist, August Alsina, made headlines today when he reportedly brandished a gun at fans who were hassling him on Wednesday night.
TMZ reports that Alsina, 24, was shopping in a supermarket, Food 4 Less, in San Fernando Valley when four fans, three girls and one man, began following and harassing him for pictures.
Alsina declined their requests, but the four fans wouldn't stop bothering him. They even followed him once he left the store.
When he reached his car, Alsina took the gun from it and allegedly brandished its butt at the fans. Then, given the opportunity, Alsina got into his car and left before police arrived at the scene.
A Food 4 Less employee had already called the police when he saw the fans' behavior. When the police arrived, they filed a report about the accusations. Police said that no verbal threats were made and that Alsina never directly pointed the gun at the fans.
Due to there being no witnesses to support either party, charges are unlikely to be made.
Alsina went public last month in an interview with Jada Pinkett-Smith that he was suffering from a liver disease. He has since been seeking treatment and spending time trying to recover.
"The reality is that I'm sick all the time," Alsina shared in the interview. "I don't really like to talk about it because I'm not looking for anybody's sympathy. Don't treat me like I'm a f--king cancer patient, because I'm not."
Alsina has not commented on the allegations.
