'General Hospital' Spoilers June 10,2013 Episode: Carly Sets Franco Up to Die But Someone Else Gets Shot?[VIDEO]
The reappearance of Franco on General Hospital in the form of Roger Howarth in the role will lead to a major character being shot this week.
Carly has been on the warpath ever since the presumed dead Franco returned to Port Charles last week. She asked her mobster ex-husband Sonny to kill the man she holds responsible for their son Michael being raped in prison, but on June 10, "the planned hit on Franco goes wrong," She Knows Soaps reported.
Carly decides to take matters into her own hands and the explosive consequences are the cover story of the June 10-24 edition of ABC Soaps In Depth.
"She goes ahead and makes a plan behind Sonny's back," Ron Carlivati, head writer of GH, told the magazine. "She tells Shawn that Sonny okay's [the hit on Franco]. She's betraying Sonny, but she's also deceiving and betraying Shawn at the same time."
Carly invites Franco to dinner under the pretense she wants to call a truce. However, she has arranged for him to be a sitting duck on the terrace of the Metro Court and tells Shawn that he can get a clean shot from an empty room at the hotel. Carly's scheme is complicated when Connie and Olivia arrive at the Metro Court to celebrate Olivia's birthday. Sonny is also in attendance to wish the mother of his eldest child well.
"So you've got all these players in the same location at the worst possible time. Carly has not thought this through," the writer said.
On June 11, the town is left to deal with the consequences of Carly's actions. It will reverberate across the canvas as Alexis demands to know Shawn's involvement and Dante may have to investigate his own father, Sonny.
"It's the kick off for a lot of big story for a lot of the characters," Carlivati said.
