Kate Middleton Baby Bump Should Be Dressed With Allure, Says Italian Designer Roberto Cavalli
Designer Roberto Cavalli said he thinks Kate Middleton should dress more attractively, according to a British Vogue report on Thurs, June 6.
"A princess should be sexy," Cavalli said. "She is young, she is beautiful - I would like to create something special for her, but nothing too bold. I would like to prove to the world that Roberto Cavalli can dress a princess. Maybe I would use a print, keeping it young, sophisticated and sexy. Just because you are a queen or princess it doesn't mean you can't be sexy."
When the Italian designer was asked about his favorite British celebrity to work with, he said, "Victoria Beckham - she is in my heart." Beckham had asked Cavalli to design the costumes for the Spice Girls in 2008 and has known her for many years. “She represents a little bit of England to me," he said, according to the report.
Middleton will be making her last public appearance when she names the Princess Ship on June 13, and rumors have been circulating regarding what the duchess will wear. According to Marie Claire's junior fashion editor Lucia Debieux, the duchess is likely to use a new designer like Carven or Gucci as the godmother of the ship, before she hibernates to prepare for motherhood.
