Although actor Chris Hemsworth clearly has his work cut out for with Thor: The Dark World and The Avengers, he's once again surfaced as a fan favorite for another future blockbuster in the film adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey.

Hemsworth, who is a universal sex symbol due to his looks and A-list status, is once again being ranted and raved about for the erotic part of the S&M-crazed billionaire Christian Grey.

Although the 29-year-old Aussie hasn't addressed the Grey topic as of late, he did touch on the rumors to Celebuzz in early 2012.

"Ah, no someone mentioned it to me ... I was like, 'What is it? I dunno, maybe I'm interested.' I'm not going to say anything. I haven't read the book," Hemsworth said.

Another actor being highly touted for the role is Man of Steel's Henry Cavill, who recently spoke to Hemsworth about playing a superhero, according to Opposing Views.

"I did briefly speak to Chris Hemsworth at Comic Con, who played Thor. I just walked up to him and said, 'Mate, I wanted to say hi, my name is Henry, I'm playing Superman. What's it like? He said 'Don't worry about it. The fans are a lot more supportive than you think. They're behind you the whole way, so just enjoy it.' He's a really nice bloke," Cavill said.

Screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who is currently working on the 50 Shades movie script, said that she'd be adhering to the context of the books with lots of sex and raunchiness.

Producers of the highly anticipated flick are said to be shooting for an NC-17 rating, according to a write-up in Style magazine. Although they've yet to officially attach a director to the franchise, 50 Shades of Grey is slated for its big screen release in summer of 2014, and will be shot in London.
