Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber Break Up Confirmed by 'Come & Get It' Singer? Source Says They Split 'For Good'
Selena Gomez reportedly instilled the help of her friends to make sure she does not end up reconciling with Justin Bieber and giving their relationship another shot.
The 20-year-old Come & Get It singer spread news of her breakup to close friends and asked them to make sure she does not give in to Bieber's efforts to get back together. An insider told Perez Hilton that Gomez is listening to what her friends have been telling her for some time now.
"She's finally taken some of their advice to heart and swears it's finally over with him, for good," the insider said. "She doesn't see herself getting back together with him and just needs to move on."
The insider added that Bieber's recent behavior is another reason why the former Disney star does not want to get back together with him. The Believe singer "is on a downward spiral and Selena wants nothing to do with it," according to the insider.
"For a minute she thought she could 'save him' which is why they got back together the last time. But she's over him and his childish behavior."
A source in late May said the singers were going to give a shot at reconciliation, but that Bieber would have to do a lot to win Gomez's trust back. She also refused to give all her attention to him, making time to prepare for her first ever solo world tour. Stars Dance kicks off in the summer and the insider said "She needs to focus on her big tour. She's trying to be levelheaded and knows how important the shows are to her fans, so it won't be a surprise to him."
Speaking to InStyle for its June 2013 issue, which she graced the cover of, Gomez confirmed that Love Will Remember was written about Bieber. She called it "the most personal track on the record," and called out the Canadian singer in her interview, saying, "I'm sure he'll love it too."
Talking about the same track in an hour-long live stream with fans on June 3, she explaining the idea behind the song, saying, "There are moments when you want answers but you're glad you've experienced them...At the end of the day, love will remember."
