'The East' Co-Stars Ellen Page, Alexander Skarsgard Are Just Friends, Says Source
Ellen Page and her 'The East' costar Alexander Skarsgard looked pretty cozy on the set of their new film, sparking many rumors over the weekend that the two were dating.
The photo made the rounds after the weekend after their director, Zal Batmanglij, tweeted an intimate photo of the pair.
But, a source tells PEOPLE, the costars are just friends.
However, the actress liked it enough to re-Tweet. The photo shows the two dressed in matching denim outfits with Skarsgard's arm around Page.
Off set, Page and Skarsgard have been spotted together at LAX and on various red carpets to promote the film.
'The East' follows an operative for an elite private intelligence firm finds her priorities changing dramatically after she is tasked with infiltrating an anarchist group known for executing covert attacks upon major corporations.
The film is currently in select theaters nationwide.
