As Selena Gomez increases her presence on the party scene, rumored ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber got turned away from a club for trying to enter though he is underage.

Over the weekend, Gomez partied with friends at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. She turns 21 on July 22 and told InStyle for its June 2013 issue that she is more determined than ever to make a name for herself as an adult actress with serious credibility. On Sunday she attended the 2013 L.A. Gay Pride Festival in West Hollywood with friends. See photos here.

Bieber, 19, tried to party with his own friends also over the weekend, but his efforts failed when he was turned away from a venue because of his age. He tried to enter the Toxic Luau Beach Day party, held at the Lure night club in Hollywood, on June 8, but security would not allow it.

"Someone from Justin's team had come earlier in the day and told the club that he would be showing up. The club told him they wouldn't let him in because he's not 21. Bieber came anyways and tried to sneak in through a back door," a source told E! News.

Bieber managed to get inside but his presence in the club was revealed to security personnel when The Game gave him a shout-out on stage.

"The Game was on the mic at this point and saw Bieber trying to get in and shouted that Bieber was on his way inside," the insider added. "That's when security saw him and escorted him out immediately. He left right away, he seemed really embarrassed."

He made the most of his weekend though, since on Sunday he visited somewhere where he would no doubt be allowed in: Disneyland. The Believe singer was joined by about five of his guy friends, and did not really interact with fans, according to the news report. He wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, tight pants, high-top sneakers and sunglasses as he walked through the park at around 9 p.m.

Bieber turned 19 on March 1.
