'Game of Thrones' Season 4 Spoilers: Upcoming Installment Featuring A Slew Of New Characters, VIDEO & Details
To the heartbreak of its millions of loyalists, HBO's popular TV series, Game of Thrones, just wrapped up its third season with yet another action-packed episode.
Although the popular period TV piece just closed out its Season 3, its upcoming installment is already set to start filming in July. Since many of the fans have already read George R.R. Martin's GoT's books, they surely have a strong sense of what's to come moving forward with the storylines.
However, to the dismay of the many diehards, showrunner David Benioff had indicated that the creative brass will inevitably be moving away from the readings at times, as the series progresses, according to Entertainment Weekly.
"The series has already reached a point where there are so many characters, particularly in season three we're introducing so many new ones, we run the risk of bursting at the seams as we try to cram every single subplot and all the various characters and it becomes impossible on a budgetary level and it becomes impossible on an episode-basis jump around every few minutes to 30 different characters and locations. We don't want to do that, and recognize that as a real risk and we will take steps not to fall into that trap," Benioff explained to the site.
Unpredictability aside, Wet Paint reported that Westeros will be experiencing an increase in size for Season 4, as Martin has already given the confirmation that three meaty roles are currently being cast, which are Mace Tyrell, the Magnar of Thenn, and Oberyn Martell.
Although no official airdate has yet to be announced, HBO's Game of Thrones is set to premiere its fourth installment at some point in the fall.
