Shannon Beador was hospitalized on Friday.

Amid her weight struggles, the Real Housewives of Orange County star took to Instagram to reveal that she suffered a nosebleed which led her to seek medical care.

"Poor Sophie. I feel horrible for traumatizing her today," she wrote to her fans and followers. "Was driving with Sophie to the DMV this afternoon so she could finally get her license and my nose started to bleed. Then it started gushing out of my nose, down my throat, and out of my left eye."

Beador also shared an image of the ordeal on Instagram.

"Sophie had to call 911. I was sitting in the DMV parking lot with blood spewing out everywhere. Was in the hospital all afternoon, but everything is ok now," she said. "Probably because if the dry weather here. I made Sophie stay at the DMV and had someone meet her so she could still get her license. She passed!!! And then thought it was ok to drive home and take her sister out for ice cream without asking. Car rules are being laid down tonight! #eventfulday #lettheweekendbemellow."

Beador gained 40 pounds after filming the 11th season of The Real Housewives of Orange County due to allegations of abuse made against her husband. Since then, she has been doing her best to lose the weight she's gained with diet and exercise.

Beador also learned that she had 40 percent body fat during season 12 but has since revealed that she is down 15 pounds.
