Sources from the franchise's producer Lionsgate said on Wednesday that a new trailer will be released "very soon." The information was first seen on the Twitter feed of THGAustralia, an Australian Hunger Games fan-site. Many are speculating that the trailer will premiere at Comic Con in July.
Additionally, a new casting call was released on Wednesday to find extras for the franchise's two-film finale Mockingjay. Though Catrett Locke Casting did not officially name the movie, they hinted that it is a science fiction trilogy turned film series." The group worked on Catching Fire as well.
The casting notice said that they will need actors from the 18-40 age groups who can be filmed for several days. Each extra will require full makeup and costumes.
In other Catching Fire news, there will be a new line of dolls of the film's main characters. Katniss Everdeen had a doll last year and will be getting another this year in addition to Peeta Mellark, Gale Hawthorne and new addition Finnick Odair.
Speaking of Finnick Odair, Yahoo! UK speclated on June 6 that Sam Calflin, who plays Finnick, will likely be Hollywood's next heartthrob. They note that his humble attitude and his recent Twitter Q&A session with fans are just some of the reasons he could become a new teen crush.
In his short career, Claflin has appeared in such hits as Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Snow White and the Huntsman. Catching Fire will be the latest addition to his rising stardom.
The actor tweeted to his followers today that he "finished watching The Hunger Games again, and "to say I'm excited for November would be an understatement!"
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be released in theaters on Nov. 22.
