Nathan Griffith wasn't planning to allow his son, three-year-old Kaiser, to attend his mother's weekend wedding but after initially explaining that it wasn't her weekend, Griffith changed his mind and handed Kaiser over to Jenelle Evans.

After the Teen Mom 2 star shared images of herself and her three kids, including eight-year-old Jace and eight-month-old Ensley Jolie, Griffith spoke out about his decision.

“After thinking more about it, my Mom and I thought it was the right thing to do,” Griffith said during an interview with the Real Mr. Housewife on September 26. “People don’t understand that I’m not trying to make Jenelle’s life harder or be difficult.”

“As I showed with the series of text messages, I generally try to be courteous,” he continued. “When I said I wasn’t going to let him go initially, that was because I was frustrated by how she was behaving.”

Evans and Griffith's relationship is currently strained but according to the reality dad, he did his best to ensure that his son was able to experience his mother's wedding with his siblings.

“Of course I was going to be decent and let her son go to her wedding. Hopefully Jenelle will remember this going forward and give me the same courtesies,” Griffith added.

Evans and her husband, David Eason, got married on Saturday, September 23, and during their ceremony, their kids, including his daughter Maryssa, posed at the altar with their mom and dad.

To see more of Jenelle Evans, David Eason, their family, and their co-stars, including Leah Messer, Chelsea Houska, Briana DeJesus, and Kailyn Lowry, don't miss new episodes of Teen Mom 2 season eight on Monday nights at 9 p.m. on MTV.
