Twitter Birdie Now Chirps In 280 Characters
Fans woke up to find their social networking birdie chirping a little more than usual as Twitter decides to double its character limit from 140 words to 280 words.
"The new word limit (280 Characters) busted the limitations only to make it meaningful for the global users", argued Twitter's Product Manager Aliza Rosen, over a blog.
This is a small change, but a big move for us. 140 was an arbitrary choice based on the 160 character SMS limit. Proud of how thoughtful the team has been in solving a real problem people have when trying to tweet. And at the same time maintaining our brevity, speed, and essence! https://t.co/TuHj51MsTu

I’m so excited to be part of @Twitter’s #280characters rollout. Let me just say it’s an honor and a privilege. I’d like to thank my wonderf — Ellen DeGeneres (@TheEllenShow) September 27, 2017
Facebook was always anti-Trump.The Networks were always anti-Trump hence,Fake News, @nytimes(apologized) & @WaPo were anti-Trump. Collusion?

The micro-blogging website known for its brevity received its own share of criticism from Nay sayers, at the same time inspiring the funniest of memes from across the globe.
Rest assured, I’ll use my 240 characters for good. Leveraging the full potential of Twitter, I can discuss the social & political significance of Zack Snyder’s Superman films in more depth. #ManofSteel & #BatmanvSuperman are 2 of the most complex, beautiful & layered CBMs ever. pic.twitter.com/s5iXy5XEub — ComicBook Debate (@ComicBookDebate) September 28, 2017
