Tamar Braxton Instagram: Singer Posts Photo From Hospital Bed [VIDEO]
Tamar Braxton is still recovering after she was rushed to the hospital this week.
She posted a photo of herself in the hospital bed Thursday. In the snapshot she’s wearing a bracelet and a red blanket. She wrote the caption, “#teamoverit … #notagain … #thisbluebirdisNOThappy …”

TMZ first reported that Braxton went to the hospital after she had a bad reaction to flu medicine. The star, who was in New York doing promotional rounds for her latest album Bluebird of Happiness, was said to have been barely able to talk when she decided to go see an ear, nose and throat doctor. She was given Prednisone, which is a steroid, to treat her throat.
Instead, she experienced swelling that was so bad she had to go to the Emergency Room when she went back to Los Angeles. Braxton’s medical issues made headlines after she had to quiet ABC’s Dancing With The Stars back in 2015. She was also off The Real for weeks as she recovered from a nearly fatal experience.
She wrote back then, “With a Heavy heart I regret to inform you that my season of #dwts has to come to an end along with the rest of my tour dates with @musicbykem. After yesterday’s final #dwts performance I went back to the hospital (after the doctors didn’t want me to leave in the first place) only to find out that I don’t have pneumonia but something way more serious and that is having several P.E.’s (blood clots in both sides of my lungs)…”
