Keyshia Ka’oir, the new wife of rapper Gucci Mane, has set the record straight in references to the claims that she abandoned her children.

There was lots of speculation that she left her three children in her home of Jamaica, and came to Miami and married the wealthy rapper. However, she cleared the air on The Breakfast Club radio show this week.

“I came to Miami when I was 10,” she said. “[It’s] absolutely false [that I abandoned kids in Jamaica.]”

Still, she went on to add that she and Gucci do have children between the two of them. She clarified why it might appear that she neglected her kids after fans questioned why they haven’t seen them.

“Gucci and I have both have children, we do. It’s a situation where I’m proud to be a mother but at the same time I need to be private. I don’t want our kids in the limelight, I don’t want them on social media. I want them to go to school and just be children.”

In case fans were wondering, Keyshia also revealed the children were actually at the star-studded wedding on Oct. 17.

“It’s never a situation where they’re left with my mom,” she said. “They all live with us. We have a blended family and we have fun, they’re spoiled and they’re happy. They were ALL at the wedding.”

Meanwhile, the newlyweds reportedly won’t be celebrating their nuptials on a honeymoon anytime soon. Gucci Mane’s latest album, Mr. Davis, was just released earlier this month. Word is they’re going to take time to promote that before going on vacation.

“Gucci’s album dropped a few days before the wedding so it’s all about pushing that right now, that’s why they didn’t leave right away for the honeymoon,” an insider told Hollywood Life Thursday. “He and Keyshia are a team, she know the focus has to be on his album and she’s all for it.”

Keyshia and Gucci dated before he spent about six years in jail. It didn’t take long for him to pop the question after he came out of jail looking like a new person thanks to weight loss.

If their honeymoon is anything like their wedding, it’s bound to be lavish. The two spent $1.7 million on the ceremony that was held at the Miami Four Seasons. It also aired on BET.

He told his future wife on the special that she had “no budget,” and told her “never say the word ‘budget’” again.
