She Said Yes! Cardi B And Offset Are Engaged!
Cardi B has enjoyed a very successful year professionally. Her song 'Bodak Yellow' has topped the Billboard 100 charts and is currently one of the most frequently played songs in the country.
Now she has another reason to celebrate!
The former reality TV star is now engaged to her boyfriend, Offset, from the group 'Migos'.
Offset proposed to Cardi B on Friday during a performance in at the Powerhouse 99 Philadelphia concert.
"I just want to go to sleep and wake up and make sure this ain't a dream. Thank you, God for all these blessings.Thank you babe @offsetyrn God really sent you to me," she wrote under the Instagram holding her ring.
The news broke on social media last night when fans began posting videos of Offset joining Cardi B onstage, then dropping down on his knees and offering the 8-ct diamond ring to her. It was hard to hear the rapper's response but obviously she accepted as fellow the rapper stood and placed the ring on her finger.
"Jesus Christ I'm so emotional, @offsetyrn I loveee you so much.Thank you for seeing the potential in me since you met me. For giving me advice molding me and loving me. Your such an amazing man to me your family, friends, kids and you are extremely talented.I can't wait to spend FOREVAAAA with you. Let's make a lot shmoney and love together," Cardi B posted in another Instagram post, where she is flashing the ring on her finger.
The pair began dating earlier this year and have been denouncing engagement rumors since August.
Cardi B joined the 'Love and Hip-Hop' cast back in 2015 and was considered the show's breakout star. The sixth and seventh season focused on the former stripper's difficulty dealing with her ex-fiance's incarceration and her rise to fame.
On Dec. 30, 2016, she left the show to pursue her music career that has since made her an in-demand rapper. In September 2017, 'Bodak Yellow' peaked to the number one spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, making her the first female rapper to claim the honor since Lauryn Hill debuted the spot in 1998.
Cardi B will be releasing her first album soon.
