Katie Holmes And Jamie Foxx Are Dating But Not Getting Married
Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have reportedly been dating for the past four years but according to a new report, the couple isn't close to walking down the aisle.
Months after the longtime couple finally confirmed their romance with a hand-holding walk on the beach in Malibu, Calif., a report claims Foxx is in no condition to tie the knot because he's far too busy to commit.
Foxx “isn’t ready to get married,” a source told Us Weekly of the 49-year-old actor and singer. “He’s been so busy with movies and all of his other businesses that he knows he can’t be a good boyfriend to her.”
Still, “he brings a lot of joy into her life and he’s happy with Katie,” the source added.
While Holmes shares her 11-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, Foxx has two children from a previous relationship, including daughters Corinne and Annalise. Holmes parted ways with Cruise after six years of marriage in 2012. One year later, she and Foxx first sparked rumors of a romance at a charity event in New York where they were seen enjoying a dance with one another in front of several other celebrity guests.
While Foxx and Holmes won't be walking down the aisle anytime soon, the magazine's source said that they were still dating and doing their best to balance their relationship with their busy careers.
“They care about each other a lot,” the source said.
Throughout the first few years of their relationship, Foxx and Holmes steadily denied that they were dating and did their best to evade paparazzi in an effort to protect their romance. That said, the couple is allegedly serious about one another and the source said that Foxx would never do anything to hurt the actress.
Prior to their outing in Malibu in September, Holmes and Foxx enjoyed an intimate dinner at a New York City restaurant in April.
“Katie was super worried about the public attention” at first, the magazine insider said, and was perfectly happy being able to keep her relationship to herself as she and Foxx remained holed up in his Los Angeles mansion. However, earlier this year, she grew tired of the hiding and wanted to stop "playing that game.”
Holmes and Foxx still haven't publicly commented on their romance.
