[UPDATE] 'Tamar & Vince' New Season: Braxton's Mother Tells Herbert Is Concerned He Could 'Kill' Her
Just after news hit that Vincent Herbert wasn’t going down in his divorce with Tamar Braxton without a fight, her mother, Evelyn Braxton has spoken out. And she said she’s afraid for her daughter’s life when it comes to Tamar’s interactions with Vince!
Evelyn made it clear that Vince better not touch Tamar. And it was pretty obvious that this already happened before.
“I don’t really have anything to say to Vince,” Evelyn told TMZ at LAX Friday afternoon. “One thing, keep his hands off of my child. Stop before he hurts her or kills her. I love Vince but I don’t want him to kill my child. It’s as simple as that. Stop.”
Tamar filed for divorce from Herbert in late October. While many fans were shocked as it came just before the two were going to celebrate nine years of marriage, Tamar’s family didn’t seem to be too surprised by her decision. In fact, it might be safe to say they were relieved.
Fans saw much of Tamar and Herbert’s relationship play out on national television. They starred in the entire family’s show, Braxton Family Values on WeTV before they landed their own spin-off, Tamar & Vince. While they clearly had a rocky relationship and fought off divorce rumors for years, the two put on a united front together in public as if all was well in the Herbert household. It looks like Braxton was tired of keeping up any charades that were going on behind closed doors.
“If a person really means what they’re doing, then they’ll go and get help,” the matriarch continued. “They’ll go and get counseling. I think he needs to go and get counseling. I really and truly do.. before someone gets killed.”
Herbert is reportedly open to going to counseling to save his marriage, TMZ reported just hours before the site caught up with Evelyn. Apparently, Herbert isn’t willing to give up on his marriage but instead thinks it can be fixed with consistent counseling. It’s not clear if he’s open to going to anger management if needed. Still, it was said that Tamar getting fired from The Real was the beginning of their marital woes. But her family says things went awry long before that and Herbert was covering up something.
Meanwhile, he just signed rapper and Love and Hip Hop: New York star Remy Ma as his newest artist.
