Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez Break Up But He Still Sends Congrats After Birth of Her Baby Sister
Justin Bieber reportedly sent congratulations to ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez on the birth of her baby sister Gracie, born on June 12.
Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefey, gave birth to her first child with second husband Brian Teefey in Northridge, Los Angeles. Shortly after the baby was born Gomez took to Twitter to make an official announcement, writing on June 14: "Momma, Brian, and me are all so grateful for all your well wishes. My lil sissy Gracie Elliot Teefey was born June 12th. Luv you all XO."
Mandy divorced Gomez's father, Ricardo Gomez, when the pop singer was just 5-years-old and remarried Brain in 2006. Mandy and Brian miscarried during her last pregnancy in December 2011.
Amongst the congratulatory message that came in for the birth of the baby, Bieber, 19, reportedly reached out to Selena's family to send his warm wishes. A source told HollywoodLife that the Beauty and a Beat singer got in touch with his ex-girlfriend upon hearing the baby news.
"Justin knows the joy of younger siblings and is very happy for Selena and her Mom. He wished Selena the best and is working on getting a gift," the source said, adding that he wants to send flowers to Mandy as long as Selena is okay with it.
X Factor judge Demi Lovato mentioned Selena in a tweet, congratulating her on her new sister: #CONGRATSSELENAMANDYANDBRIAN !!!!!!
The baby girl makes Selena a first-time big sister.
Selena and Bieber first broke up in early January after two years of dating, but have reportedly been on and off since then. Rumors of them getting back together picked up in late April, after Bieber posted on Instagram a photo of him sitting shirtless while Gomez hugs him from behind.
