Is Khloé Kardashian Temporarily Quitting 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians'?
Khloé Kardashian has reportedly decided to take an extended maternity leave from her full-time role on her family's E! reality series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
While the 33-year-old reality star has yet to officially confirm that she is expecting her first child with her Cleveland Cavaliers player boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, she's seemingly been hiding a baby bump for months and is expected to give birth to a baby boy early next year.
"When Khloé originally said she wanted to take a long break, Kris [Jenner] thought she meant she would be taking three to four months off like Kourtney and Kim did,” a source told Life & Style magazine on Nov. 21.
Kardashian first began facing rumors of pregnancy months ago, but all the while, she has remained silent as she continues to sport loose-fitting clothing during public outings. Ironically, her sister, 20-year-old Kylie Jenner, has been doing the same as she too faces rumors of her first pregnancy.
Although it seems reasonable to think that Kardashian would want to take some time off after welcoming her first child, her mother, Kris Jenner, was reportedly unhappy with her decision and went ballistic when she told her she would be taking six to 18 months off from filming. In fact, she was said to be "absolutely stunned" by her daughter's willingness to walk away from the show and become a stay-at-home mom.
Still, Kardashian is reportedly holding firm with her decision and her boyfriend is standing by her as she prepares to hunker down and nest with her first child.
"Khloé and Tristan made a decision not to have the birth of their child filmed for Keeping Up With the Kardashians," an insider said. "Kris is having a meltdown because it would be great television. Fans have been in on Khloé’s journey to have a baby for years!”
The outlet went on to reveal that the professional basketball player is a private person and was quite alarmed when he watched an old episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and saw Kourtney Kardashian giving birth to her oldest son, 7-year-old Mason.
