Billboard 200 Chart: Taylor Swift, ‘Reputation’ No. 1 For Second Week
Taylor Swift's Reputation album is still in the number one spot on the Billboard 200 Chart two weeks in a row.
The sales for Swift's album have also been impressive. Over 232,000 units have already been sold via traditional album sales. Reputation debuted at the top of the charts last week with 1.238 million units.
Billboard 200 Charts Ranking
Billboard's 200 Chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the country based on a number of different factors. Traditional album sales, streaming equivalent albums (SEA) and track equivalent albums (TEA) are just some of the metrics used to determine which album made it to number one.
Reputation, which was released on Nov. 10, is the first album to spend over one week at number one in the last four months. It also happens to be the first album by a woman to be at the top of the chart for over a week within the last year and a half. Rihanna was the last female singer whose ANTI album landed on the number one spot on two consecutive weeks.
Taylor Swift 'Reputation' Track List
Prior to the official release date of Reputation, Swift already launched four of her songs from the album, namely, Look What You Made Me Do, Gorgeous, ...Ready For It? and Call It What You Want. As a result, the album's SEA was rather small at only 10,000. However, the album's TEA units have actually increased 63 percent after Reputation became available via various digital retailers.
Swift's latest musical masterpiece includes songs, such as, End Game, Delicate, Don't Blame Me, So It Goes, I Did Something Bad, Dress, and more. The award-winning singer opted to not promote her album extensively before it was released. Swift did not also grace the covers of magazines, and she did not talk about Reputation during her interviews.
Instead, Swift simply performed her new songs on The Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live. Until today, Swift has dodged any media interaction about her album, and she only reposted one positive reaction from the press on her social media account.
