‘We Are A Very Label-less Household’: Pink Raising Gender-Neutral Children
Pink recently opened up about raising her kids in a gender-neutral home. The 38-year-old singer also revealed that her 6-year-old daughter, Willow, has expressed her desire to marry an African woman someday.
Pink's Daughter Wants To Marry A Woman Someday
"We are a very label-less household. Last week Willow told me she is going to marry an African woman," said Pink.
"I was like, 'Great, can you teach me how to make African food?' And she's like, 'Sure mama, and we are going to live with you while our house is getting ready.' I was like, 'What the [expletive], who are you? Who is paying for this by the way?'" she continued.
The "What About Us" singer also expressed her happiness when she learned that some schools have also been promoting gender-neutrality. In one of her school visits, Pink saw a bathroom that had a "Gender Neutral — anybody" label.
Pink posted a photo of the bathroom label on her social media account and captioned it "Progress."
"I thought that was awesome. I love that kids are having this conversation," said the singer.
Pink's Daughter Thinks She's The Ugliest
In August, Pink also shared a story about her daughter arriving home from school and declaring that her mom is the "ugliest girl" she knows. To teach her the importance of being true to one's self, Pink came up with a PowerPoint presentation filled with photos of androgynous celebrities.
"We don't change. We help other people to change, so they can see more kinds of beauty," said the "Beautiful Trauma" singer.
Meanwhile, Willow isn't the only person that Pink loves to talk about during her interviews. She also regularly dishes on her relationship with her husband, Carey Hart.
The singer admitted that there were times when she felt especially close to Hart, but there were also some instances wherein she felt that they weren't connected. At one point, they didn't have sex for an entire year.
"Is this bed death? Is this the end of it? Do I want him? Does he want me? Monogamy is work! But you do the work and it's good again," said Pink.
During a recent interview, Pink said that her marriage to the motocross racer has become better. In the past, she would give Hart her wedding ring back every night. However, they have recently learned how to communicate with each other.
"I don't hand my wedding ring back every night like I used to 'cause that's just dumb, and I can't actually get it off," joked the singer.
