Lil' Wayne has sparked controversy again: a video has gone viral of the Young Money rapper walking all over an American flag.

WorldStarHipHop.com published behind-the-scenes footage of Weezy shooting the music video for his upcoming single God Bless America on Sunday. In the clip, the New Orleans native is spewing rhymes to the song while the flag is hanging in background. After the flag is dropped to the ground, Lil' Wayne continues to rap and calmly begins to walk all over the stars and stripes portion of the flag.

The trampling is not the only thing that sparked rage in social media-- the lyrics to the song have also offended some.

"My country 'tis of thee/ Sweet land of kill 'em all and let 'em die/ God bless Amerika/ This ole' godless Amerika", Lil' Wayne raps, according to TMZ.

After TMZ tweeted the video, the following comments were posted onTMZ's Twitter timeline by those who expressed disapproval of Lil' Wayne's actions.

"Lil Wayne standing on a American flag for a music video?... Really? That's disrespectful to the extreme..." @joeysavatgy176 wrote.

"The United States Flag Code - 'The Flag should NEVER be stepped on' way to go Lil Wayne," wrote Twitter user @OG_LoTus2h.

Lil’ Wayne sparked controversy in February after he mentioned the late Emmitt Till on the remix to Future’s single, Karate Chop. Wayne rapped, “beat the p**sy up like Emmett Till.”

Till was a teenager who was murdered for allegedly whistling at a white woman in 1955. Till’s death sparked riots around the country at the time.

The Till family called for the boycott of Lil Wayne's upcoming America's Most Wanted Tour and asked for Pepsi to end their Mountain Dew endorsement deal with Weezy in a video posted on YouTube later that month. Wayne issued a formal apology on May 1 and was dropped by Mountain Dew several days later after the family announced they wouldn’t accept his apology, according to The New York Times.
