Demi Lovato took to Twitter to congratulate her dear friend Kim Kardashian on the birth of her baby.

"Congratulations to my sis @KimKardashian and @KanyeWest on having their first baby," she wrote on Sunday.

Kardashian gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday. The baby's father Kanye West was by his girlfriend's side during the delivery, E Online reported.

Kardashian had revealed her joy of expecting a baby girl on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

"I'm so excited we're having a girl. Who doesn't want a girl?" Kardashian said during the eighth season in June. "They are the best and I know that's really what Kanye has always wanted. He wanted a little girl."

While she hasn't said anything about her baby, thus far, Kim's younger sister Khloe also took to Twitter to share some excitement.

"I can not even begin 2describe the miracle that is now apart of our family. Mommy/baby are healthy &resting. We appreciate all of the love," she wrote on Sunday.

Lovato had also voiced her excitement back in December 2012 when she discovered her friend was expecting.

"So happy for you @KimKardashian. Love you so much and I'm so excited to babysit. Miss you girly. Once again so happy for you," she had written on Twitter.

Lovato's tweets aren't the only proof of her friendship with Kardashian. The singer had told E Online in 2011 that Kardashian was a true friend to her while she was in rehab.

"The people that were calling me while I was in there were Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez. Those two girls, they meant the world to me. They still do," she said.

She went into more detail about her feelings for Kardashian in an interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest in 2012.

"She was there for me when not many people were. I could not count on my hands how many people were there for me. So the people who were, I didn't' forget it," she said on the difficult time she endured while trying to get sober.
