Bella Hadid Joins 'Free Palestine' Protest Against Donald Trump Dressed In Red Dress And Fur-Trimmed Coat
After Eminem verbally destroyed Donald Trump in a freestyle rap a couple of months ago, supermodel Bella Hadid has taken a stand against the President.
Bella Hadid Joins 'Free Palestine' Protest
Bella Hadid was photographed marching with "Free Palestine" protesters outside the U.S. Embassy in London, England, on Friday, Dec. 8. The protestors chanted and held signs that read, "Hands off Jerusalem" and "Lift the siege of Gaza."
The march was organized to protest against President Trump's recent declaration that the United States will recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a controversial move that has further increased tensions between Israelis and Palestinians.
The demonstration was one of many protests being conducted by furious picketers across the globe after the Palestinian extremist group, Hamas, called for a "day of rage" in retaliation to Trump's move.
The 21-year-old model joined the protest after attending the launch of the Swiss luxury brand Tag Heuer's new flagship store on London's Oxford Street. Bella looked gorgeous in a red gown and a white fur coat, which she also wore to the protest.
Trump Announcement Hits Close To Home
For Bella, Trump's recent declaration hits close to home as her father, Mohamed Hadid, is of Palestinian origin. The supermodel also took to Instagram to share a lengthy post in the wake of Trump's announcement.
"Watching the news and seeing the pain of the Palestinian people makes me cry for the many many generations of Palestine," she wrote. "Seeing the sadness of my father, cousins, and Palestinian family that are feeling for our Palestinian ancestors makes this even harder to write."
She added that Jerusalem is home to all religions and suggested that Trump's declaration is a regressive move that makes it much harder to live in a world of peace. She called the treatment of Palestinians "unfair, one-sided" and intolerable and concluded the post by voicing her support for Palestine.
Not A First Anti-Trump Protest
This isn't the first time Bella has protested against Trump. Bella and older sister Gigi Hadid took to the streets of New York City in January to take a stand against the commander-in-chief's immigration ban.
At the time, Trump had signed an executive order that temporarily prohibited refugees from entering the country and also denied entry to people arriving from seven Muslim-majority countries.
Supermodel Rekindling Relationship With The Weeknd?
Meanwhile, Bella has been in the news recently with reports claiming that the model and The Weeknd are getting back together after the "Starboy" hitmaker split up with Selena Gomez.
A source revealed that Bella and The Weeknd remained friends after their breakup and have been in touch throughout. The insider also said that the former couple has been "talking texting and FaceTiming each other pretty consistently."
