Gwen Stacy To Appear In ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Sequel?
Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel might introduce Gwen Stacy. This rumor has swirled after an audition tape for the role leaked online.

A French actress by the name of Louna Fournier auditioned for the role and fans of the Marvel movie couldn't help but speculate on her casting.
However, Gwen is known in the Marvel universe as a blue-eyed American woman, so it's unclear whether or not the French actress will be the one cast for the part.
Even though director Jon Watts has not yet confirmed the casting for Gwen, fans believe that it will be a go as Spider-Man: Homecoming broke boundaries earlier this year.
For instance, the film introduced Zendaya as Peter Parker's (Tom Holland) good friend and potential love interest, MJ. In the first two Spider-Man films, Kirsten Dunst and Shailene Woodley gave life to the iconic role.
Zendaya is the first African-American actress to give life to the character of MJ, so Gwen could also be portrayed by a French personality.
In the first two Spider-Man movies, Gwen was introduced as Peter's love interest. However, she died at the hands of the Green Goblin. Fans of Spider-Man: Homecoming believe that MJ will become Peter's main love interest in the sequel, but Gwen will also be introduced.
Will Spider-Gwen Be Introduced?
Meanwhile, Gwen's fate differed in the Spider-Man comic book series. In the printed format, Gwen was the one bitten by the radioactive spider. As a result, she transformed into Spider-Gwen.
As of late, it's still unclear whether or not Spider-Gwen will be introduced in the sequel because the film will still primarily focus on Peter.
In other news, the production for the upcoming sequel is scheduled to kick off sometime next year. Watts has just been confirmed as the director of the next installment. The announcement came last week from Kevin Feige, chief of Marvel Studios.
After the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Watts said that he's still unsure if he will direct the sequel. Watts and his team have always kept things about the Spider-verse a secret, and they have also avoided giving fans spoilers.
However, Holland previously shared an exciting detail regarding Spider-Man's suit in the sequel.
"Jon figured out an interesting idea for the suit. It's so difficult to see or breathe or drink water or be a normal human inside the mask. His idea is to take off the mask and digitally put it back on later. It's something to figure out together," said Holland.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is slated for release sometime in 2019.
