Just one week after releasing the newly-recorded version of his single "Perfect Duet," Ed Sheeran has reached the peak of the Billboard Hot 100 yet again. This should come as no surprise considering he recruited none other than Queen Bey to be a part of the new single.

What might surprise fans, especially the Bey Hive, this is the singer's first No. 1 single since 2008. But she is certainly not a stranger to the Billboard charts. This makes ten No.1 hits for the icon, which is spread between her solo career and her time as a member of Destiny's Child.

The superstar, hit No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006, with her hit single "Irreplaceable." "Irreplaceable" was featured on her second solo album B'Day, which became her second consecutive number one album.

In 2008, "Single Ladies" (Put a Ring on It) made it to No.1 on the Hot 100. The single was featured on her third studio album, I Am... Sasha Fierce. "Single Ladies" earned the Grammy Award for Song of the Year and became the longest-running Hot 100 single in her career.

Since it's release, "Perfect Duet" has managed to go from No. 3 to No.1 on the charts. The dynamic duo finally ended the long reign of Post Malone and 21 Savage's "Rockstar," which remained on the charts for eight weeks in a row. "Rockstar" was the third longest No. 1 hit in 2017.

ED SHEERAN SOARS TO THE TOP

Sheeran is also no stranger to the Billboard charts. "Perfect Duet" is Sheeran's fifth top 10 single. The hitmaker is the first artist to have two songs debut in the US top 10 in the same week.

Sheeran broke records with his first two singles, "Shape of You" and "Castle on the Hill." Both singles broke records in several countries, including the UK, Australia, and Germany by debuting in the top two positions of the charts.

Aside from being a guitarist and record producer, Sheeran has also appeared in Game of Thrones as a Lannister soldier and Home and Away.

Sheeran's popularity began in 2012 when he made a guest appearance on Taylor Swift's fourth studio album, Red.

In 2013, he spent most of his time opening up for Swift's The Red Tour. Sheeran's single, "The A-Team," was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with singer and pianist, Elton John.

"Perfect Duet" is currently available for download on Tidal and iTunes.
