Kevin Hart Gets Real About 'Tough Year' After Cheating Scandal Puts Him In The Headlines
It’s no secret that 2017 has been quite the year for comedian Kevin Hart and his family. In fact, he described the last 365 days as “tough.”
Gia Lopez Asks The "Tough" Question
Extra TV’s Mario Lopez and his daughter, Gia, spoke with Hart as he promoted his newest film, the remake of the classic Jumanji. During the quick interview, Hart got real and candid about the last year.
Of course, in true Hart form, he was able to laugh about it.
Hart was first asked by the child interviewer if he had been “naughty or nice.” Hart looked right in the camera, clearly taken aback by young Gia's question. It’s clear she had no idea about what happened in Hart’s personal life.
“That’s a tough question for old Kevin Hart right now,” Hart said as he smiled and gave a knowing look into the camera. “It was a tough year for me. I had some bumps in the road.”
Still, also in true Hart form, he kept it positive and said he has “recovered” from the negativity he and his family experienced in 2017.
“I’m doing good, I’m doing better…” added Hart.

Earlier this year, he was involved in one of the most shocking cheating scandals of 2017. News had hit that a woman, who is not Hart’s wife Eniko Parrish, had footage of Hart in a compromising and sexually inappropriate situation with another woman. Hart did the best he could to get ahead of the news and admitted to his indiscretions on Instagram. He said that someone had been trying to extort him but refused to be bullied.
At the time, Parrish was 8 months pregnant with her first child, and Hart’s third. He is father to Hendrix and Heavenly, who he had with his first wife, Torrei Hart.
It might be safe to say that reports that Parrish refused to leave Hart amid or after the drama is true as she is still with him. In fact, the two just welcomed their son, Kenzo, last month. Parrish has yet to speak on the infidelity. But Kevin has used it as material in his latest tour.
Also in the interview, Kevin revealed he doesn’t kiss the new child thanks to his rough facial hair. He said a nurturing touch from a mother is exactly what the child needs. He said as far as his contribution, he gives his time to the young child.
