Justin Bieber Is Giving Selena Gomez 'Space' Amid Family Feud
Selena Gomez and her family are currently at odds due to her reconciled romance with Justin Bieber.
After a report confirmed that Gomez and her mother had recently unfollowed one another on Instagram, a source is speaking out about Gomez and Bieber's current relationship. The source revealed that Bieber is giving the "Wolves" singer some space as she attempts to navigate through her family feud.
“Selena is so relieved that Justin has been giving her space to figure things out with her family. This is an incredibly hard situation for both of them and the way Justin is handling it is giving her even more reason to love and trust him,” a source close to Gomez explained to Hollywood Life on Dec. 21.
Gomez and Bieber have had a troubled past and because of that, her family isn't quick to welcome him back into their circle. Luckily, while Bieber would have previously confronted the situation head-on, he is allowing Gomez to take the lead. As the source explained, Bieber doesn't want to do anything to further antagonize their situation.
“He’s all about giving Selena the support she needs. As much as this hurts, and it really does, he’s managing his reactions and just trying to support Selena and do what is best for her," the source noted.
In response to Bieber's new demeanor, Gomez has reportedly been blown away by how he's been handling the drama between her and her family including her mom. She hopes that Mandy Teefy will soon see how much Bieber has changed.
The report came just days after another insider claimed Gomez was "heartbroken" that her reunion with Bieber had led to such drama with her family. As the insider said, the singer feels like she is stuck between her love for her family and her love for her boyfriend, who has been in and out of her life for nearly eight years.
"Selena feels like she is being forced to choose sides between pleasing her mother and following her heart," an insider told Hollywood Life earlier this week.
Gomez and Bieber's reunion happened at the end of October and days later, her split from The Weeknd was confirmed. As fans of the singer will recall, Gomez dated the "Starboy" singer for 10 months before Bieber was caught arriving at her Studio City home nearly two months ago.
