Briana DeJesus And Javi Marroquin Haven't Split; 'Teen Mom 2' Couple Is Planning For Their Future
Briana DeJesus and Javi Marroquin may have just spent the holidays apart, but that doesn't mean they have broken up.
Over the Christmas weekend, as DeJesus and Marroquin spent their Christmas holidays with their families in Florida and Delaware, respectively, fans began to wonder about a potential split between them. Luckily, DeJesus has wasted no time shutting down those rumors entirely and revealed her future plans to spend New Year's Eve together.
“Javi and I are still together. We are making plans toward our future. Our relationship has been great thus far and I believe we both see long term potential,” DeJesus told Us Weekly magazine on Dec. 27. “We’re enjoying being together and have a great time each time we are together.”
DeJesus went on to say that she and Marroquin will reunite ahead of the New Year's festivities and applauded her fellow Teen Mom 2 star for being "great" to her two children, 6-year-old Nova and 5-month-old Stella, both of whom have dealt with inconsistent fathers.
DeJesus and Marroquin were first romantically linked to each other over the summer but didn't confirm their relationship as official until October. Since then, the Teen Mom 2 couple has been spending time with each other around the country and recently celebrated the fourth birthday of Marroquin's son Lincoln.
Marroquin shares his only child with ex-wife Kailyn Lowry, who has been quite vocal about her thoughts and dislike of his new relationship with DeJesus. As for DeJesus, she shares her oldest child with ex-boyfriend Devoin Austin and her youngest daughter with Luis Hernandez.
In addition to rumors of a split, Marroquin and DeJesus have also faced claims of Marroquin feuding with her mother, Roxanne, who recently suggested he was lying about his upcoming deployment on Twitter. However, according to DeJesus, things between her mother and her boyfriend are "fine."
“My mother and Javi are fine. There’s no issues,” DeJesus explained. “She just wants to make sure Javi’s intentions are true and not just for TV. She’s my mother and wants to protect me but we are all fine. Everything has worked out.”
Javi Marroquin, Briana DeJesus, and their co-stars, including Kailyn Lowry, Jenelle Evans, Leah Messer, and Chelsea Houska, are currently in the midst of production on the upcoming season of Teen Mom 2.
