Angelina Jolie And Jennifer Aniston To Present At This Year's Golden Globes, Is The Feud Over?
Things just got a little more exciting for this year's 75th Annual Golden Globes ceremony. Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston are confirmed as presenters for the evening, joining a list of other celebrity women who will grace the stage.
The two A-list women will be together in the same vicinity for the first time in three years.
Jolie vs. Pitt
Back in 2005, the two women were allegedly engaged in a feud after actor Brad Pitt, who was married to Aniston at the time, left her for Jolie. While this was never confirmed or denied by any of the three celebrities involved, Pitt did admit that he "fell in love" with Jolie while they filmed Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Since then, Jolie and Pitt had three children together, Pitt adopted Jolie's older children, and the two married in 2014.
The world was shocked when Pitt and Jolie announced that they were separating in 2016 and planned to divorce. Since then, the former couple haven't commented on the current status of their relationship or if they plan to reconcile.
Aniston moved on and happily married actor Justin Theroux in 2015. The pair was together for four years before tying the knot. The actress never stated that she and Jolie were feuding. However, the two were rarely in the same place together. The last time the actresses were at the same event was in 2015 at the Critics' Choice Awards.
Moving On?
Since the two ladies are set to take the stage on Sunday, Jan. 7, it will be interesting to see if they plan to avoid each other or use the current state in Hollywood to come together. Both women have donated to the "Time's Up" movement, which will present more opportunities, better pay, and benefits for all female workers in Hollywood. Aniston reportedly donated $370,000 to the cause.
Jolie was one of the various women in Hollywood that accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual misconduct. Jolie claimed that Weinstein sexually abused her in 1968, an allegation he has denied.
Jolie and Aniston are also expected to wear an all black gown in support of the "Time's Up" campaign.
Also confirmed to present awards throughout the evening are actresses, Emma Stone, Helen Mirren, Halle Berry, Christina Hendricks, Sharon Stone, and Sarah Jessica Parker.
The 75th Annual Golden Globes will air at 8 p.m. EST on Jan. 7. The event will premiere on NBC.
