Corey Feldman Has Been Accused Of Groping A Woman In 2017
Corey Feldman's crusade for justice may have hit a snag.
The former child star has spent the last few years seeking retribution for the alleged abuse he endured as a teen. The actor has made several guest appearances on talk shows to speak on the evil that lies within the entertainment industry and his mission to expose it. His latest abuse scandal, however, may unravel everything Feldman has fought so hard to redeem.
Feldman The Attacker?
The Lost Boys star has been named in a sexual battery report that was filed on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018. An unnamed woman claims the actor grabbed her butt sometime during 2017. Feldman has denied the allegation against him.
"Corey vehemently denies these egregious accusations. It goes against everything he believes in and is fighting for- victim protection and stopping inappropriate behavior towards both children and adults," his representative stated.
Because this incident allegedly occurred last year, it falls within the statute of limitations. The LAPD is reportedly planning to look into the woman's allegation.
Corey's Crusade
The Stand By Me actor claimed that he and fellow actor and friend, Corey Haim, were victims of an alleged pedophilia ring in Hollywood that was led by powerful men in the industry. Last year, Feldman created the Truth Campaign, a documentary he plans to film and produce himself that will further look into the actor's claims. Feldman has raised money and gained a large following that supported his cause.
Feldman also revealed two of the men who allegedly abused him, actor, Jon Grissom, and Alphy Hoffman, owner of Alphy's Soda Pop Club and son of casting director, Bobby Hoffman. Grissom starred in Dream a Little Dream and License to Drive with Feldman.
On Jan. 6, Lifetime premiered the biopic, A Tale of Two Coreys, which showed the rise of Feldman and Haim and also touched on the abuse that happened while they were younger. Feldman has stated that he made a promise to Haim that he would expose the truth of the painful experience the two friends encountered.
"Corey asked me to make sure that if he died before me that his story was told. I am doing exactly that... The only thing left is he wants people to know who the assailant was, and I hope to God that one day that story can be told, too," Feldman stated. Haim died in 2010.
