Michelle Chamuel may not have won The Voice but that doesn't mean the performer won't see strong career opportunities now that the show is over.

Team Usher's Chamuel lead the way in fan voting for several weeks but ultimately lost out to country singer Danielle Bradbery of Team Blake. However, Coach Blake notes that her immense talent made him nervous when it came to his competitors' prospects.

"Michelle was a thorn in my side all along. I am a fan, but as a coach, she was the enemy. She was the opposing team; she made it so hard because she is so talented," Blake said, according to Hollywood Life.

This was Chamuel's second chance at The Voice, having failed to be picked by a coach the last time she tried out. The singer's quirky demeanor and clear sense of self gave her an extra boost of energy she needed to complement her multi-genre singing abilities and boundless energy.

"I think it's the beginning of something very real," Usher said of his competitor, according to Access Hollywood. "I'm looking forward to her career. I'm looking forward to everything she's gonna be."

The 27-year-old is ready to take on the challenges of a new life of singing. After she gets a moment to unwind from the stress, that is.

I'm going to take a little time to regroup, rest up, get some good food in, get my brain to sort through all the incredible experiences," Chamuel told the Boston Herald.

Once that is taken care of, Chamuel told the publication she looks forward to creating music following an independent model, "maintaining more autonomy.".

Chamuel told the Herald that she may be working with 'Voice' mento Usher soon.

"We definitely left it open," Chamuel said. "He expressed his interest, and I expressed mine right back."
