'Pretty Little Liars' Alum Lucy Hale Makes Cryptic Post About Alleged Sexual Assault
Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale may be the latest actress to join the #Metoo movement after posting a cryptic message on her social media page. Hale's fan are speculating that the actress may have been assaulted after she wrote a heartbreaking note which she removed from her Instagram page and then posted on her Twitter account.
Lucy's Nightmare
On Jan. 9, it was reported that Hale's house was broken into and the actress lost items worth $15,000. Now, Hale could be facing another horrifying dilemma. The actress shared some thoughts on sexual assault in a note she shared on Thursday, which led to more questions than answers.
"I deleted it from Instagram. But this needs to be heard. I never understood sexual assault until tonight. I always sympathized, but never truly felt the pain of it until right now. My dignity and pride was broken. I am completely at a loss for words. I feel for anyone that has felt this pain that I feel right now. But I promise. I will not let a moment go by that I don't try to make a difference," Hale wrote.
Hale once again deleted the message from her account.
Fans quickly took to Twitter to offer her support and encouragement after reading the post.
The actress has yet to confirm anything.
Hale is best known for her role as Aria Montgemory on the hit Freeform series. Pretty Little Liars ended in June 2017 after seven successful seasons. Hale was a series regular on the show along with her cast mates Troian Bellisario, Sasha Pieterse, Ashley Benson, and Shay Mitchell since season 1.
Hale's next project, Life Sentence, in which she will play the main character, Stella, will air on the CW sometime this year.
The actress will also be featured in the upcoming thriller Truth or Dare, which hits theaters in April of this year.
