One Direction News: Niall Horan Denies Via Twitter Band VIDEO of Being Drunk on Stage
One Direction singer Niall Horan slammed online rumors on Tuesday that were suggesting the United Kingdom boy band went on stage drunk recently.
The Irish singer took to Twitter to set the record straight after fans begun speculating about the reports on the Internet. Horan, 19, tweeted early Tuesday morning, "I'm clearing this one up now. This bull about us being drunk on stage! No way is that true !ever ever! Who is making this s**t up?
Enraged he added, "We give our best on stage every night! And for 1 person to start a rumour! Just messes it all up."
The singer then watched the video at the source of the rumors, which shows Horan taking a sip out of a water bottle and then passing it to band member Louis Tomlinson as the rest of the boys performed Over Again in Louisville on Sunday. He appears to tell Tomlinson, 21, that it is vodka before he takes a gulp, according to Metro.
After watching the respective video, Horan joked about the rumors and tweeted, "Ah now I get why people are saying it! Hahah! Me and @louis_tomlinson do that every night! Pretend there is something in the water bottles."
Following the Louisville performance Sunday, Tomlinson tweeted, "Great fun night."
The video that stirred controversy is shown below.
