Hunger Games Star Jennifer Lawrence Shines on Letterman
"Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence appeared Tuesday night on the Late Show with David Letterman, three days ahead of the debut of the much-anticipated movie.
Wearing a shiny, long-sleeved black and copper lace-printed dress, reportedly made by Prabal Gurung, Lawrence talked about the film, fans, coping with fame and her relationship with her older brothers.
Lawrence described how her young fans scream when they see her in person. She said one person did it to the point of almost fainting.
"Some of them start screaming before they even make it to me and then run away. And I'm like... ok? And then they work themselves up," Lawrence said.
"Did you ever think in your lifetime that you would have that extraordinary affect from strangers?" Letterman asked.
"No, no. It's a weird thing to get a hold of," the Hunger Games star said. (Watch the Video Below)
Lawrence also said that she gets very nervous on the Red Carpet and has tripped a couple of times.
"I end up getting so nervous that I get like now. I get really hyper so then I go to interviews and I say 'I'm like a chihuahua, I'm shaking and peeing' and then afterwards I'm like 'I just talked about peeing on the Red Carpet!"
Lawrence also said that her older brothers advise her to "do shots" before going to the red carpet.
"They are supportive in their kind of way," Lawrence told Letterman.(Watch the Video Below)
Earlier Tuesday, Lawrence and co-star Josh Hutcherson appeared in a Barnes & Noble store in New York City to sign copies of the new book "The Hunger Fames: Official Illustrated Movie Companion."
The movie hits theaters this Friday and has sold more advance tickets than any non-sequel movie, ever, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly citing sales at Fandango.com.
