Khloe Kardashian Reveals She Once Considered Using A Surrogate
As Khloe Kardashian prepares to welcome her first child, she recalled her bumpy road to motherhood. In a new interview with Ross King for ITV's Lorraine, the reality star revealed that she considered having a child via surrogate.
The 33-year-old further elaborated that she thought about surrogacy at one point, but was surprised by her unexpected pregnancy.
"And then when I got pregnant, I was just so surprised....When you hear all of these things about yourself, you just start believing them and I was just in shock I think as much as everybody else," Khloe said.
If Khloe opted for a surrogate to carry her child, she wouldn't have been the first Kardashian to do so. Her older sister, Kim Kardashian, welcomed her third child, Chicago West, via surrogate in January.
Both sisters have opened up about their fertility issues on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Prior to Chicago's arrival, Kim explained that she would be unable to carry her third child due to placenta accreta and preeclampsia. As for Khloe, she struggled with getting pregnant during her relationship with Lamar Odom.
Now the Good American designer is gearing up to become a mom.
2 More Months Until Khloe Becomes A Mom
As previously reported, Khloe will welcome her first child with her boyfriend, Tristan Thompson. In December 2017, Khloe took to Instagram to confirm the news. She shared a photo of her and Thompson holding her growing belly.
"My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby! I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along," Khloe wrote.
Since confirming her pregnancy, the Stronger Looks Better Naked author has continued to keep her fans abreast of all of the happenings in her pregnancy.
Earlier this month, Khloe revealed that she now has cellulite on her legs and that she was starting to suffer from insomnia. Khloe has also shared emotional moments with her fans by stating the baby has started to kick. She has also shared that she has cravings but tries her hardest to eat healthy, but she's definitely not afraid to give in to the occasional cravings.
"I give into cravings if I have them. Like if I want a doughnut, I'll have a doughnut. I'm not super crazy," she stated.
On Tuesday, Feb. 6, Khloe took to Instagram to confirm that she is at 29 weeks. The first-time mom appears to be glowing in the photo as she holds her baby bump.
While she still has yet to reveal the gender of her baby, Khloe will reportedly give birth sometime in April.
