Joanna Gaines Reveals Her Pregnancy Cravings, And They're Really Relatable
There is one thing common among pregnant women, and that is the cravings — some want ice-cream, others want sour or salty food. For Joanna Gaines, her cravings may be unusual, but they are very much relatable.
Early-Morning Cravings
The Fixer Upper star had an early morning craving for an assortment of food on Thursday. Gaines took to her Instagram to tell her 6 million followers that she woke up at 2:30 a.m. looking for ranch dressing, fruity pebbles, pimiento cheese sandwich, spaghetti, chicken, and deviled eggs.
Unfortunately, she did not have any of the food in her kitchen, so she got creative. She baked herself some chocolate chip cookies instead from her cookbook Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering. The 39-year-old reality TV star vouched that with the kinds of food she has been eating, she is bound to gain a lot of weight.
"With all the restaurant's final tastings, the cookbook (yes these cookies are in it!), and this pregnancy-I'm definitely growing at a record rate," Gaines captioned a photo of a plate stacked with chocolate chip cookies.
Gaines also shared a photo of her growing belly on Thursday. She acknowledged the fact that her belly is growing bigger by the day. "Photoshoot today and there's no hiding this baby bump anymore," she captioned the shot.
Pregnancy News
Gaines and her husband, Chip, are already proud parents to four: Drake, 12; Ella, 11; Duke, 9; and Emmie, 7. The couple has been going back and forth on whether they should add another brood to the family. One would think that having four children already makes up for a big family, but the HGTV stars surprised their followers in January, when they shared that they were expecting their fifth child.
Gaines shared a video of her ultrasound on her Instagram and mentioned how her husband already knows the gender of the baby.
"Chip swears he can already tell it's a boy. Look at the little heartbeat!" she wrote along with a clip of the tiny baby.

Gaines is still busy as ever despite being pregnant. She is about to reopen Waco, Texas's Elite Café with a new name Magnolia Table in spring. The renovation of the restaurant took over a year to complete and an estimated $2 million budget. She and her husband are also putting the final touches on their cookbook, which will feature 125 recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Gaines is expected to give birth two months after the opening of Magnolia Table.
