Catelynn Lowell Reveals Pregnancy On 'Teen Mom OG'
Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra excitedly shared their baby news with their families on last night's episode of Teen Mom OG season 7.
As Lowell tends to her issues with depression and anxiety in rehab, she and Baltierra are seen enjoying the early moments of her pregnancy on the show. However, after sharing the news of Lowell's latest pregnancy with Lowell's mom and Baltierra's dad, Lowell was believed to have suffered a miscarriage.
On Feb. 12, Us Weekly shared a recap of last night's new episode, revealing that Lowell's mom burst into tears with excitement at the thought of a new baby, while Baltierra's dad, Butch, was overjoyed. Lowell and Baltierra then informed their families that if their child isn't a boy, they would continue to try for one after the birth.
Unfortunately, prior to the episode airing, Lowell reportedly lost her child and traveled to rehab a short time later. While Lowell didn't mention her miscarriage at the time she traveled to Arizona after facing thoughts of suicide, she was quite open with her emotional struggles at the end of last year and confirmed her rehab news with her fans and followers on Twitter.
Weeks later, a report revealed details regarding Lowell's latest pregnancy.
“It is actually really sad,” a source told The Ashley’s Reality Roundup last month. “Catelynn got pregnant and surprised Tyler and Nova and then had a miscarriage not long after. That happened right before she went to treatment [in November] when she tweeted about thinking about killing herself."
“The crew and production staff heard she was about six weeks pregnant when it happened,” the source added, “but no one is 100 percent sure.”
Adding to the pain of her miscarriage was reportedly the fact that Lowell was forced to tape voiceovers for Teen Mom OG after losing the child, so after dealing with her heartbeaking news, she was forced to recall all the excitement she and her family felt at the time she first learned she was expecting.
In response to the sad turn of events, The Ashley's source said they felt extremely bad for the longtime reality star and confirmed that her miscarriage would be a "big topic" on the upcoming episodes of the show.
