Aaron Cater was allegedly assaulted on Saturday night in Boston, where he was slated to perform at a show on Sunday, by overzealous fans of the local 90s boy band New Kids on the Block, according to TMZ.

Aaron, the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, said after he had dinner with a friend in Boston, a hulking man approached him and told Aaron Boston was New Kids on the Block turf.

"'I heard you're doing a show here tomorrow. This is the town of the New Kids," Aaron said the man yelled.

Aaron claimed three other men exited a gold Chevy Malibu and attacked him, leaving the 25-year-old with a bruised eye.

The pop singer told TMZ that he defended himself and fought off the men.

"I think my knuckles might be broken, but that's what they get," Aaron told TMZ. "People think I'm a pretty little white boy but no way. I think I won. I'm still standing."

The assault comes as a surprise, because New Kids on the Block cater to mostly female and teenage fans base, and Aaron didn't mention any previous feud with the Boston-bred group.

Aaron said he wouldn't file a police report but did release photos of his bruised knuckles and eye on his Instagram page.

The singer was very active on Twitter on Sunday, reveling in supportive tweets from his adoring fans.

Aaron admitted to his fans that he was attacked but also assured them that he was doing well despite the incident.

"It's true, I got my ass jumped last night. But I'm a soldier.. Errrrr," he wrote.

Aaron hasn't been in the news as of late. He was part of an infamous report in 2011, which alleged that the singer was given cocaine by Michael Jackson when he was a 15-year-old. Aaron denied the allegations, which were made by OK magazine.
