Drake 'Nothing Was The Same' Album Trailer VIDEO: Rapper Takes Shots From Grammy Award
After his award came in the mail, Drake used his Grammy for something other than decoration - a cup to drink from.
The Young Money rapper can be seen in a video unwrapping the award he won at the 2013 Grammy award show for "Best Rap Album" for his sophomore record Take Care. He then takes a "shot" of what is presumbly alcohol from it and passes it around to his friends.
Drake also sent a picture of the award to his mother and said he will probably store it at her house.
After his drink with friends, the Canadian rapper walked around his estate and took a moment to really reflect on his first Grammy award.
"This right here, I used to talk about this all the time," he said about the honor. "My vision has always included a speech, that's the only thing that wasn't accurate, but other than that, I always said I'd get one of these and I got it, and it's like, when does it stop? Does it stop? Why is it happening? It's crazy to think about it, it's surreal."
For Drake the moment may come again with his third album Nothing Was The Same. As Enstars reported, the album will be released on Sept. 17 and will feature an appearance by singer Jhene Aiko.
"This is my f--cking moment to say if I wanted to rap all the time, really rap, I would, but I also love to make music," he told GQ in July about the album. "I'll do this for you right now. But it's for me, too. It's my story... I'm trying to get back to that kid in the basement. To say what he has to say. And I'm trying to make it last."
He also released four new tracks from the upcoming album, which can be heard here.
