A new Twitter account brands singer Taylor Swift as a feminist and uses her image for its main profile picture while amassing over 80,000 followers in merely six days, according to ABC News.

FeministTaylorSwift (@feministtswift) is respective account of self-proclaimed feminist Clara Beyer. For her tweets, the senior linguistics major at Brown University takes lyrics from the pop star songs and gives them a feminist twist. In her posts, Beyer addresses issues of sexism, gender roles and female empowerment.

"I knew you were sexist when you walked in / So shame on you now," she tweeted on Monday, a spin off of Swift's song I Knew You Were Trouble.

As a rewrite of Swift's song 22, Beyer tweeted on June 21, "It feels like a perfect night / To fall in love with strangers / Because hook-up culture can empower women in certain circumstances / Uh-huh."

Commenting on the amount of attention her tweets are receiving - at time of publication she had a little over 105,200 followers - Beyer told the news station, "I'm not the only one who enjoys her music but feels uncomfortable with some of the messages."

Beyer was walking home listening to Swift's music, which she is a fan of, when she got the idea for a feminist Taylor Swift account. She started the account on June 12 and by the following night, she had 300 followers. The day after that she woke up to find she had 6,000.

Swift said in 2012 that she does not think of herself as a feminist.

"I don't really think about things as guys versus girls. I never have. I was raised by parents who brought me up to think if you work as hard as guys, you can go far in life," She told The Daily Beast.

Beyer thinks otherwise of the singer, saying the fact that Swift is her own boss, writes her own songs and does not care what her ex-boyfriend's think is pretty feminist. She will continue to use Swift's lyrics as a means to express her feminist takes.

"Once upon a time / A few mistakes ago / I was in your sights / You got me alone / Like a sexual conquest / And not a human being-ing-ing-ing."
