Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Turn Into Daphne And Shaggy For Her Son Apollo's 'Scooby-Doo' Birthday Party
Zoinks! There are no ghouls around, but Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are the perfect doubles of "Scooby-Doo" characters for her son Apollo's birthday.
Scooby Gang All Dressed Up
The rocker dressed up as an uncanny clone of redhead fashionista Daphne Blake while the country star opted to go as the Scooby Doo's hippie best friend Shaggy Rogers. Although Fred Jones is probably a better idea for a couple costume as Daphne's love interest in the television series, Shelton seems like a better fit as the goofy Shaggy.
Stefani put in the work in her costume not just with the red wig, but Daphne's signature purple dress, green scarf, hairband, and tights. Her boyfriend Shelton donned a shaggy wig and a green shirt like his cartoon inspiration.
The cosplay effort is part of the birthday celebrations of Stefani's youngest son with Gavin Rossdale. Apollo, dressed as Scooby-Doo, turns 4 on Feb. 28 and was treated to a birthday bash in advance.
The former No Doubt frontwoman documented the afternoon party on Instagram stories where she shared snaps of herself and her beau, the puppet show, the mascots, a bouncy house, and her beloved kids.
Stefani is also mom to Kingston, 11, and Zuma, 9. A photo of Kingston shows that the eldest child opted out of a costume for the get-together.
Blissed-Out Couple
There are constant rumors of the famous cross-genre couple either tying the knot or getting pregnant, but Shelton has laughed off all the speculation. For now, the pair looks content spending time with just each other and her kids.
Even Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo have been to the country star's ranch, which he made much more enticing with major gifts that any young boy would love: ATVs.
"I bought those ATVs as her boys started coming out more often to the ranch," Shelton says, adding that the boys' fascination with his farm truck gave him the idea.
"It's like, 'Okay, I can't get anything done when the kids are here 'cause they want to drive this thing around.' So I got them their own little [ATVs]."
Kingston and Zuma even show up in the music video of Shelton's recent single "I'll Name The Dogs."
Stefani and company are currently with Shelton as he headlines his Country Music Freaks Tours alongside other acts like Brett Eldredge, Trace Adkins, and Carly Pearce.
