Khloe Kardashian Opens Up About First Trimester Pregnancy Pains: ‘Literally I Like Can’t Walk’
Khloe Kardashian was the focal point of Feb. 25 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians as the soon-to-be mother struggles with pregnancy complications.
The Revenge Body star announced in December that she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Tristan Thompson. During Sunday's episode of the E! reality series, Khloe revealed to her sisters Kourtney and Kim Kardashian the complications she had to go through during the first trimester of her pregnancy.
Khloe Kardashian Opens Up About Painful First Trimester
Khloe told her sisters that the progesterone pills she was taking to increase the hormone levels required for a normal pregnancy are incredibly painful.
"Literally, I like can't walk," she told her siblings. "This is not fun. I just feel sick every night. I feel gross. I physically can barely walk."
The soon-to-be mother also referred to the pills, which have to be inserted into the vagina two to three times a day, as "torture."
However, increasing her progesterone levels was a good call for the reality star. When she visited the doctor, she was told that her regular intake of the pills is what saved her pregnancy. Kim also suffered from low progesterone levels when she was pregnant with her son Saint West.
Delayed Pregnancy Announcement
While Khloe, 33, heaved a sigh of relief when she was told that she and the baby are healthy, she also decided that she was going to keep the pregnancy news among her close friends and family at the time, even after finding out that TMZ had already received a tip-off.
"This is one example why you don't announce early," Khloe said. "There's a lot of complications. A lot of things could happen. I could've had a potential to miscarry. As soon as I get to my second trimester, I will have such relief, and that's all I'm waiting for."
This is in line with what she said during an interview with ITV's Lorraine earlier this month. At the time, the Kardashian sister revealed that her doctors told her to wait for some more time before going public with her pregnancy due to miscarriage fears.
In the same episode of KUWTK, Khloe further revealed that she will be having the baby in Cleveland, where Thompson plays for the NBA team Cleveland Cavaliers. She also noted that she wants to get placenta encapsulation done, which is essentially the practice of ingesting the placenta in the form of a pill.
