Paula Deen has lost her second deal, with Smithfield food company, in the wake of the backlash she received for her admission of using racial slurs in court in May.

TMZ reported on June 24 that Smithfield, a global food company that specializes in products made with pork, issued the following statement to explain why the company decided to sever ties with the former Food Network star.

"Smithfield condemns the use of offensive and discriminatory language and behavior of any kind," Smithfield's statement reads. "We are terminating our partnership with Paula Deen."

The food company added that the company "is determined to be an ethical food industry leader and it is important that our values and those of our spokespeople are properly aligned."

Deen was a spokesperson for Smithfield since 2006. The company also produced part of The Paula Deen Collection including the Paula Deen Spiral Hams by Smithfield.

Smithfield's announcement came several days after TMZ reported on June 21 that the Food Network will not renew Deen's contract when it expires at the end of June. That statement was issued hours after she issued an apology for using racial slurs.

ABC News reported that Deen's confession was made in court in May when she went to attend a hearing for a lawsuit she is facing for racial and sexual discrimination by a former employee. Deen and and her brother, Bubba Heirs, are being sued by Lisa Jackson, a former manager of one of their restaurants. During the May hearing, Jackson's attorney asked Paula if she ever used the "N" word, and she admitted she did.

According to Mail Online, one of Paula's employees called another employee "my little monkey" and Paua, herself, wanted to host a Civil War Era-themed wedding party with slaves.

When the news came to light, Paula released a statement in two apology videos on June 21 saying that she said the racial slur at a "time in American history, which was quite different than today."

"I want to apologize to everybody for the wrong that I've done," Paula said in one of her videos. "I want to learn and grow from this ... Inappropriate, hurtful language is totally, totally unacceptable."

Paula released a statement the next day after the firing thanking Food Network for the opportunity.

"I have had the pleasure of being allowed into so many homes across the country and meeting people who have shared with me the most touching and personal stories," Deen said. "This would not have been possible without the Food Network. Thank you again. Love and best dishes to all of ya'll."

E! Online reported on June 24 that QVC issued a statement saying that they share the same "concerns" as the other companies that dropped Paula. They are currently reviewing their relationship with the famous chef.

"QVC shares the concerns being raised around the unfortunate Paula Deen situation," the home shopping network said in a statement.

"QVC does not tolerate discriminatory behavior. We are closely monitoring these events and the ongoing litigation. We are reviewing our business relationship with Ms. Deen, and in the meantime, we have no immediate plans to have her appear on QVC," the network added.
