Cynthia Nixon Picks A Side In Ongoing Sarah Jessica Parker And Kim Cattrall Feud
Sarah Jessica Parker may not have a friend in Kim Cattrall anymore but that doesn't mean her other Sex and the City co-stars no longer love her. Parker recently reunited with her former cast mate and friend, Cynthia Nixon and the two ladies shared the warm reunion on social media.
Carrie And Miranda Forever
Parker and Nixon were together briefly on Feb. 26 when they ran into each other at a photo shoot for T Magazine. Nixon shared the tender moment on her Instagram page and stated in the caption that she missed Parker.
Nixon, who portrayed Miranda Hobbs on SATC for all six seasons, is not the only cast member to have spoken highly of Parker. Jason Lewis, who ironically portrayed Cattrall's onscreen boyfriend Smith Jerrod, also stated that Parker was a "wonderful" person and that he had nothing but "kind and thoughtful words" to say about her. Lewis did not comment on Cattrall at all.
Parker portrayed Carrie Bradshaw on the hit HBO sitcom while Cattrall played Samantha Jones. Also starring on the show was Kristin Davis, who played Charlotte York-Goldenblatt.
SJP vs. Cattrall
The feud between Cattrall and Parker began after the potential third SATC film was immediately shot down by Parker. Parker simply stated that it was no longer happening but never gave a reason why.
Reports began to swirl that Cattrall was the main factor behind the sudden cancellation of Sex and the City 3 due to her "diva-like" demands. Cattrall defended herself on social media and Piers Morgan Live where she blatantly stated that she never agreed to do another SATC film. Cattrall also went on to claim that she was never friends with her co-stars.
After Parker finally broke her silence on the alleged feud between the two, she admitted that she was "hurt" by Cattrall's harsh remarks and claimed she didn't remember their time on set toegther that way.
The final straw for Cattrall was when her brother, Chris Cattrall, tragically passed away after he was reported missing. Parker and Nixon offered their heartfelt condolences to Cattrall, however, Cattrall slammed Parker once again and stated that Parker was trying to exploit her brother's death.
Parker spoke up on Cattrall's attack, saying there was no fight because she never actually responded. Her friends, Molly Shannon and Andy Cohen, also spoke up for her character.
