Katy Perry and John Mayer were reportedly seen leaving the Waldorf Astoria on Monday, stirring rumors that they are back together after officially breaking up months ago.

The pair attended the Friars Club Roast of Don Rickles, in which the comedian was awarded The Friars Lifetime Achievement in Comedy. Mayer arrived alone but he was quietly joined by Perry once inside the hotel, which had reports stating that perhaps the pair was trying to keep their relationship private. Perry attended the event as a guest whereas Mayer took to the stage to perform for the crowd the salon classic, One for my Baby and One More for the Road.

The pair was also seen together on June 22 enjoying a reported date night at both the Greenwich Hotel and Bowery Hotel in New York.

"They were very cuddly and cute," a source told E! News. "Katy definitely gave the impression that she and John are 100 percent back together. Katy definitely gave the impression that she and John are 100 percent back together."

The pair dated for less than a year but have been spotted together several times since ending their relationship in March. Sources earlier in the year claimed "they are just hanging out. They are not putting a label on it." However, the news report cited sources that recently said the couple is "back on."

In an April interview with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, Mayer, 35, confirmed the breakup and revealed that he was "happier" after splitting with Perry, 28.

"I'm on the same journey as everyone else. Coupling is a tricky thing," he said at the time. "Listen, it was a very private relationship going in. It was a private relationship during and it's a private relationship, still," Mayer told DeGeneres.

"I can understand asking the question based on some previous answers I have given but I have finally learned how to put the wall between one thing and the other," he continued. "I've been much happier since then. I want everyone to be happy."
