Kendall Jenner Didn't Want To Take Photos With Dad Caitlyn At The Oscars Party
Kendall Jenner and her father, Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce Jenner, both graced the red carpet at Vanity Fair's 2018 Oscars after party on Sunday. However, they did not pose for photos together.
Red Carpet Snub
Kendall wowed the photographers when she appeared on the red carpet wearing a tight black mini-dress with puffed sleeves and a plunging neckline that dipped down to her waist. She paired the outfit with a pair of green chandelier earrings and strap-on heels. Caitlyn, on the other hand, opted for a simple red dress with long sleeves and a pair of black heels. She also brought a silver pouch as an accessory.
The pair arrived at the event separately and had their photos taken separately. According to a report, the 22-year-old Victoria's Secret model was "oddly reluctant" to pose for photos with her father on the red carpet. Kendall was not in the mood to take pictures with her 68-year-old father. Instead, she posed for photos with fellow catwalk model Joan Smalls. She also shared a photo from the party on her Instagram.
However, Kendall and Caitlyn caught up with each other inside the party. Vanity Fair took some photos from the bash and one showed the father and daughter talking to a third woman. Meanwhile, Caitlyn took the opportunity to take a photo with British musician Elton John, when he attended his 26th annual AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday. He also posed for photos with Miley Cyrus.
Family Relationship
Caitlyn maintains a good relationship with her daughters with Kris Jenner, Kendall and Kylie, even after she announced her transition into a woman in 2015. She even spent time with Kendall after she talked about her gender transition with Piers Morgan on an episode of his Life Stories talk show.
The former Olympian shared a photo of a makeup-free Kendall cuddling a horse.
"My girl loves her horses," Caitlyn captioned the image she posted early in January.
However, The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is not in good terms with her stepdaughters Kourtney, Kim Kardashian-West, and Khloe. Caitlyn talked about how her transition affected her relationship with the girls.
"I've lost all relationship with them, yes, I don't talk to any of them anymore," Caitlyn revealed in his interview on Life Stories.
"I don't talk about that side of the family, I spent 23 years of my life with those kids it's difficult to talk about it, terribly terribly sad," he added.
